'A Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving': How to Watch the 'SNL' Holiday Special Tonight

Thanksgiving 2021 is almost upon us, and Saturday Night Live has just the thing for those looking for a laugh ahead of the holiday.

SNL will be release a new two-hour special that will be jam-packed with Thanksgiving-themed skits and sketches that'll no doubt cheer the whole family up and distract them from the stress of preparing for the holiday.

Like in previous years, the SNL special will highlight a number of sketches they have had in past seasons that are focused on the holiday.

Here's how you can watch the show and what to expect.

What day is the SNL Thanksgiving special on?

The special is being released as part of the show's 47th season, which first began airing on October 2, 2021.

And the Thanksgiving-themed episode will air on Wednesday, November 24, from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST.

How can you watch the SNL Thanksgiving special?

The SNL Thanksgiving special will air live on NBC, which is the home of the comedy sketch show since it debuted in 1975.

Those who don't have access to the channel can also watch the special on NBC's website and app, while it'll also be available to stream on subscription services that have NBC, such as Hulu and YouTube TV.

What sketches will appear on the SNL Thanksgiving special?

The Thanksgiving special will feature a number of sketches that have aired over the course of its 47 seasons. SNL has yet to confirm which of its past skits it will be bringing out of the vault for the episode.

One iconic sketch that fans are sure to want to see again is Adam Sandler's Thanksgiving song, in which the actor shares his love for turkey in musical form.

"A Thanksgiving Miracle" is another classic SNL sketch that will no doubt be welcome on the special.

The skit focuses on a family at the dinner table debating various hot topics and struggling to agree on anything, the only thing they can agree—and indeed the only thing that looks likely to save Thanksgiving—is Adele's "Hello," which comes on the radio and results in an impromptu sing-a-long.

Given Adele's new album "30" was released on November 19, it seems apt to bring up the beloved SNL sketch once again.

Another great musical-themed Thanksgiving skit is the "Weekend Update: Garth and Kat Sing Thanksgiving Songs," in which Kristen Wiig's Kat and Fred Armisen's Garth sing with Coldplay's Chris Martin, playing Jan Pockabook.

Simu Liu, who hosted the show on Saturday, November 20, also took part in a few amusing Thanksgiving sketches, including a parody of a Target commercial.

Given the sketch was part of the show's seventh episode, though, it may well not be a shown in the Thanksgiving special despite matching the theme.
