The Grammy Awards announced their nominations yesterday, and while a ton of talented performers got recognized, there were definitely some snubs. Ahem, including Machine Gun Kelly, who does. not. seem. thrilled. At least judging from his tweet after the nominations were announced, which simply reads "wtf is wrong with the grammys."

As Complex notes, Tickets to My Downfall came out within the 2022 Grammy Awards eligibility period, meaning the pop-punk album would have been eligible in several categories. It also happens to be Machine Gun Kelly's first #1 album, so obviously this would have been a big moment in his career.

Despite the Grammys snub, Machine Gun Kelly did just win American Music Awards for Favorite Rock Artist, which is a fan-voted award. As he put it:

MGK is gearing up for the release of his next studio album Born With Horns, and recently opened up about it to Billboard. It feels more guitar-heavy for sure, lyrically it definitely goes deeper — but I never like to do anything the same,” he said. “Every album is a juxtaposition of the last album. So I went and studied Tickets, and I heard the bright sound that I had, and for this album I just turned the lights off. I’m not scared anymore, there’s nothing holding me back from being my true self — and my true self can’t be silenced, can’t be restrained. It’s a force, it’s like a hurricane. Can’t stop that, it just goes until it feels like stopping, and I don’t feel like stopping anytime soon.”

FYI, the Grammys are going down on January 31 in Los Angeles, so get ready for more drama and some good music.
