‘Teen Mom’: Amber Portwood Called Out For Continuously Embarrassing Her Daughter
Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood is once again getting slammed over embarrassing her teenage daughter Leah on social media. It is not easy being a 13-year-old girl, and it is especially harder when your parents are reality television stars.
Portwood’s ex and father of her 13-year-old daughter Leah, Gary Shirley is calling Amber out once again for her poor parenting choices. He claims he is tired of Amber logging on to her social media accounts to constantly rant to her followers. Gary claims it is embarrassing Leah, according to The Sun.
Amber Portwood Claims She Knows Leah Doesn’t Like Her Right Now
Shirley called out Amber during Tuesday night’s TMOG finale episode. During the show, Gary and Amber attend a therapy session. When asked why they were there Shirley stated that he and his wife are “Trying to have a relationship with Amber.” Shirley goes on to explain that he feels it is necessary to understand Amber to try and be good co-parents to their daughter Leah.
Gary reveals he has seen some changes in Amber stating that she doesn’t get angry as much. However, he claims that Amber’s Instagram posts and videos, no matter who she is directing her rant at, it embarrass Leah.
“Leah see that and she doesn’t want that,” says Gary. He claims no matter how hard they try to shelter Leah from Amber’s dark social media rants, they can’t. Some of her friends see Portwood’s videos and it is embarrassing for Leah.
Amber Portwood then tries to defend her actions stating, “I was having a really horrible manic episode and you go through man for a couple of weeks. You talk a lot of s**t and you just feel horrible afterward. When you get down you’re like oh man,, how can I fix this? Can I fix this?”
“How do you explain that to a 12-year-old?”
Gary Shirley Continues To Work With Amber Portwood On Co-Parenting
As previously reported by TV Shows Ace, Amber Portwood recently revealed she was continuing to work on herself and her relationship with Leah. She claims she knows that right now Leah doesn’t really like her. Portwood claims that Leah has a lot of trust issues with her and it is going to take a good long while before they can work through them. But, she is willing to put in the time and the work.
It is not an easy road for Amber these days, despite continuing to work out her relationship issues with her daughter she is also continuing to battle her mental health and custody issues with ex-Andrew Glennon. Andrew is the father of Amber’s son James. Recently the two-faced off following Glennon’s accusations that Portwood is continuing to abuse drugs and wanted the court to have her submit to a hair follicle drug test.
Amber Portwood continues to deny all of Glennon’s accusations and reveals she continue her fight for her two children for as long as it takes.
