The new Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event coming alongside Genshin Impact 2.3 begins November 25, 2021. MiHoYo has released new details about the event’s three Special Dragonspine Training modes, as well as how to obtain the event-exclusive Cinnabar Spindle sword. It also outlined the start and end dates of each act.

Below is the basic schedule for the Genshin Impact Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event:
- Shadows Amidst Snowstorms Event Story (All ending December 13, 2021)
- Act I: The Snowy Past – Starts November 25, 2021
- Act II: The Shadows Deepen – Starts December 1, 2021
- Act III: A Secret Born From Ashes – Starts December 4, 2021
- Event Shop
- Training Rewards Shop – November 25, 2021, to December 20, 2021
- Trial Trophy Shop – December 1, 2021, to December 20, 2021
The event will consist of three different Special Dragonspine Training courses, and a Mysterious Opponent challenge that unlocks after Act II. Players will need to have Adventure Rank 20 and have completed the Archon Quest “For a Tomorrow Without Tears” to participate. Additionally, the Adventure Rank required to accept Albedo’s story quest will be adjusted to 20 and will require no keys to unlock.
The three training courses include Agility, Tracking, and Combat. Each course will come in eight different challenges, with the first two unlocked after completing Act I: The Snowy Past. During the event, Agility training will have four challenges in total with one unlocking every three days. Tracking and Combat training will have instead have eight challenges in total. Two new challenges will unlock every three days. Completing these courses will award players with Snowman Heads, Snowstrider Emblems, Primogems, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ore, and other rewards.
The Snowstrider Emblems will allow players to purchase items from the event store, which will run until December 20, 2021. Similarly, players can also receive Mysterious Emblems from the Mysterious opponent challenge. The Snowman components, on the other hand, are used to build Puffy Snowmen at the camp. Build enough of these Snowmen, and you can acquire the event-exclusive Cinnabar Spindle sword.
The Genshin Impact 2.3 Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event will start on November 25, 2021. The event story will last until December 13, 2021, and the event shop will stay open until December 20, 2021.
