NSO Group Tries Again to Boot Claims of Spying on WhatsApp Users

Israeli spyware maker NSO Group is calling on the Ninth Circuit to review an earlier ruling allowing Meta Platforms Inc.‘s WhatsApp to pursue claims that users of the messaging service were illegally targeted with surveillance software.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit should reconsider NSO’s argument that it’s immune from legal action because of its work for foreign governments, according to the company’s Monday request for a rehearing.
