Unbeaten Columbia (5-0) Hosts Unbeaten Stony Brook (5-0) Wednesday

First matchup of two 5-0 teams in the NCAA this season

NEW YORK – Women's basketball fans are in for an early Thanksgiving treat on Wednesday, as Columbia (5-0) welcomes in Stony Brook (5-0) for a battle of two of the NCAA's unbeatens. Tip-off from Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium is slated for 1 p.m. ET.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time by visiting GoColumbiaLions.com/Tickets or calling 888-LIONS-11. Tickets can also be purchased on site at the ticket window located at the southeast corner of 120th & Broadway.
 
FAN INFORMATION
Fans must enter from the street level at the doors located at the southeast corner of 120th & Broadway. Fan capacity at Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium is limited to 70 percent of the venue's listed capacity per University Task Force protocols. All fans 12 and older must show proof of vaccination upon entry. All fans are required to wear a mask at all times.

Fans arriving to Schiller Court at Levien Gymnasium are required to adhere to Columbia Athletics' and Columbia University's venue protocols. Please find Columbia's venue policies here.

5 THINGS TO KNOW:
 
1. 5-0 VS. 5-0
• Entering Tuesday, Columbia and Stony Brook are two of 54 undefeated teams remaining in NCAA Div. I Women's Basketball. Of those 54 teams, only 12 are 5-0 or better.
• Wednesday's game between Columbia and Stony Brook will be the only game in NCAA Div. I Women's Basketball that day between two undefeated teams.
• It will be the first NCAA Div. I Women's Basketball game this season between two teams 5-0 or better.
• Columbia and Stony Brook have never met with both teams carrying undefeated records.
• Columbia and Stony Brook were each ranked in the Top 15 in last week CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll. This week's poll comes out Tuesday night.


2. BACK-TO-BACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn Davis was named Ivy League Player of the Week (Nov. 22) for the first time in her career on Monday. Davis averaged 14.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.5 blocks in road wins over Lafayette and Georgetown. She scored 15 of her game-high 17 points in the second half to help the Lions hold off the Leopards, 72-59. Three days later, she posted a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds in a 66-56 double overtime win at Georgetown. The honors made it back-to-back weeks that the Lions had the Ivy Player of the Week. Abbey Hsu earned the award on Nov. 15. 3. SCORCHING THE NETS
• Columbia's 385 points (77.0 ppg) are its most through five games in program history.
• Entering Tuesday, the Lions rank No. 1 in the Ivy League in scoring offense, 3-pointers made (43), 3-pointers attempted (132), free throws made (76), free throws attempted (113) and assists (82).
• The Lions are among the top 3 in the Ivy League in field goal percentage (.418) and 3-point percentage (.326).
• Columbia's 80+ points in back-to-back games against Davidson, 87-78, and Clemson, 82-78, marked the first such occasion since Jan. 3-6, 2016.


4. FOURTH-QUARTER TEAM
• Columbia has proven to be a good finishing team this year, outscoring opponents a combined margin of 93-59 in the fourth quarter, and limiting the opposition to 11.8 points per game in that period. In three of those games, the Lions were tied (Davidson) or trailing (Clemson, Georgetown) entering the fourth quarter and went on to win. They outscored Davidson 21-12 over the final 10 minutes to earn an 87-78 win. Two days later, they trailed Clemson 69-60 entering the fourth quarter and outscored the Tigers 22-9 for an 82-78 victory. At Georgetown, Columbia outscored the Hoyas 14-13 in the fourth and went on to outscore them 24-14 in the two overtime periods. Columbia has outscored the opponent in the fourth quarter in every game so far this season. 5. THE OPPONENT
• Stony Brook (5-0) is coming off a 53-46 victory on Saturday at Iona. The Seawolves have two power conference wins to their credit this year, defeating St. John's, 72-60, out on Long Island, and Rutgers, 53-44, in Piscataway. The win over the Scarlet Knights was the third in program history over a Power Five opponent.

• SBU leads the America East Conference in several categories this season, including scoring offense (69.4), scoring defense (51.8), scoring margin (+17.6), field goal percentage (.423), field goal defense (.313), 3-point percentage (.435), assists per game (16.0) and blocked shots (19). Leading scorer Anastasia Warren averaged 15.2 points per game, which ranks No. 2 in the America East. Warren is also the conference leader in assist/turnover ratio (2.25). India Pagan heads the effort on the glass, averaging 7.8 rebounds. Gigi Gonzalez does the majority of the distributing with a team-high 23 assists (4.6/game).

• The Seawolves lead the all-time series, 7-4. The two teams last met on Nov. 22, 2016 out on Long Island, a game which Stony Brook edged out, 55-53. Stony Brook has won four straight in the series dating back to 2014. Columbia's last victory came at home in February of 2001.
