The second half saw Brown increase their lead to nine after a three-pointer forced the Hawks to take a timeout, down 37-28 with 8:06 left in the third. Hartford responded with a 6-0 run, capped off by back-to-back buckets from Jabria Ingram, to cut Brown's lead to 40-37. The Bears would increase their gap back to nine and eventually held a 51-44 lead after three. Abby Streeter had a monstrous third quarter, scoring eight points on 2-of-2 shooting from behind the arc. The Hawks continued to fight back in the fourth, getting within two points with 6:55 remaining. The Bears would answer with an 11-2 run, to take a 65-54 lead with 3:13 left in the game.
