How to watch A-League Men mini-matches and highlights for free

With the A-League Men competition now underway, football fans may be unaware of the free content that can be accessed on the league.

From mini-matches to highlight packages, A-League fans can view this content without paying a subscription.

Sporting News explains how you can access A-League content for free.

How have the A-League Men's TV rights been distributed?

ViacomCBS has purchased the exclusive broadcast rights for the A-League Men's competition across the next five seasons.

All matches will be shown on paid subscription app Paramount+, while one game every round will be telecast on free-to-air Network 10.

The only way to watch full A-League Men matches that are exclusively broadcast on Paramount+, is to subscribe to the service for $8.99 a month (discounts are given with A-League memberships).

Mini-matches and highlight packages are available on Paramount+, but they can also be viewed via two different free platforms.

How to watch A-League Men content for free via the KEEPUP app?

The Australian Professional Leagues have released a new website and app called KEEPUP, which is designed to be a hub for worldwide football content, but most prominently the A-League Men competition.

Within the website and app, you can view highlights and extended highlights of each A-League Men's match on demand

If you navigate to the A-League Men match centre, click the score of the game you want and scroll down to videos, you will see a three-minute highlight package and an six-minute extended highlight package for every completed match.

Currently, the content is only viewable on the platform you are accessing it on and cannot be Chromecast to a television.

How to watch A-League Men content for free via 10 Play?

Network 10, via their 10 Play website and app, have made available several free strands of A-League Men content if you sign up, which is a free process.

The free-to-air match from round one - Wanderers v Sydney FC - is available to watch in full on demand within 10 Play's A-League section.

There is a 48-minute highlight package which features a round-up of all six A-League Men matches from the weekend.

Three mini-matches of around 20 minutes have been posted, for the Glory v Adelaide, Western v Victory and Wanderers v Sydney FC matches.

And finally there is three-minute highlight packages for all the round's matches.

All content on 10 Play can be Chromecast to a television also.

A-League Men's commentators and talent

As part of the new broadcast arrangement, ViacomCBS and Network 10 have assembled a talented team to cover the competition. 

Main commentators for A-League Men games witll include Simon Hill, Robbie Thomson, Ben Homer and Teo Pellizzeri

While the likes of Tara Rushton and Michael Zappone will take up hosting duties. 

A host of former A-League Men players will also provide their analysis of games with Mark Milligan, Archie Thompson, Alex Brosque, Luke Wilkshire, Tarek Elrich, Scott McDonald, Daniel McBreen and Daniel Georgievski all signed up by Network 10. 

The new A-League Men campaign kicks off on November 19 with six matches every round and the regular season is expected to conclude on May 1.
