Portland Trail Blazers head coach, Chauncey Billups, had some high praise for the Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic. The Nuggets are set to face off against the Blazers on Tuesday night.

Chauncey Billups calls Nikola Jokic “the toughest cover in the league, except for maybe KD.”

This is high praise for the Nuggets big man as Kevin Durant is considered arguably the greatest scorer of all time. Nikola Jokic has been great for the Nuggets after winning the MVP last season. On the year he's averaging 26.4 points per game, 13.6 rebounds, and 6.4 assists. He leads the Nuggets in points, rebounds, assists, and steals.

It's an interesting comparison because both players have different play styles. Jokic is a much better scorer from inside the paint than Kevin Durant is. Kevin Durant on the flip side is a much better score off the dribble and is better at creating his own shot than Jokic. Both players score differently but both are incredibly difficult scorers to defend.

The Nuggets are having an interesting season. They are 9-8 on the year but have missed Jamal Murray for every game and have missed Michael Porter Jr for an extended period of time.

When they get all their pieces back and healthy, the Nuggets will be a team to watch out for in the Western Conference. Having Nikola Jokic play as he has for the Nuggets will certainly make them title contenders just in itself.
