Morgan Wade Puts A Country Spin On Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire”

Morgan Wade country music

I’ve never heard a Morgan Wade cover that I didn’t like.

Recently, we shared a really cool cover of her singing Kris Kristofferson’s “Me and Bobby McGee,” but today, she’s covering The Boss.

She shared a video on Instagram of her doing an acoustic version of Bruce Springsteen’s “I’m On Fire” during a radio interview, and of course, she puts her own unique spin on it.

The song was originally released in 1985, and was the fourth single from Bruce’s classic album, Born in the U.S.A. A solo write by Bruce, it peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Pop Singles chart the year it was released.

Morgan posted the video with a caption saying that it’s one of her favorite songs:

“It’s hard to pick a fave Springsteen song, but ‘I’m On Fire’ will always be one of my go-tos. Love playing this one!”

I love hearing her country-fy a rock legend like Bruce Springsteen with her twangy, gritty vocals, and it goes to show how elite Morgan is as an artist when she can just pull out an acoustic cover like this and make it sound like her own dang song:
