A petitioner said that tvN and Netflix should consider making Memories of the Alhambra Season 2 if they are renewing other shows, such as The Rain, The End of the F******* World, and La Casa del Papel, for another season.
Meaww claimed, as per Devdiscourse, an avid follower of Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye's tandem personally spoke to a Netflix representative and started a petition to notify Netflix's top officials that there is a significant of viewers who wants to see Yoo Jin Woo and Jung Hee Joo together again in Memories of the Alhambra Season 2.

The petitioner wrote:
"Will Jin-woo be able to get out of the game? Will he and Hee-joo be reunited? Will See-joo be able to overcome the traumatic experience he went through after killing Marco?"
Creators of the popular K-drama series have remained mum about the possibility of making Memories of the Alhambra Season 2 in the future. One reason why Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye could no longer return for another run is the fact that they are older now. Meanwhile, Hyun Bin sat down with W Korea recently for an interview. The boyfriend of Son Ye Jin graced the cover of the said magazine and posed for photos to be included in its latest issue.
During the interview, Hyun Bin admitted that he filmed Confidential Assignment 2: International and The Point Men subsequently, without breaks. The former co-star of Park Shin Hye in Memories of the Alhambra said:
"Recently, I've been thinking about how I should spend this time in a way that would be beneficial for me," he said. "I need some sort of breakthrough, but I don't know exactly what that could be yet."
Hyun Bin also discussed the process for how he accepts the roles offered to him. The Crash Landing On You actor stated:
"The first thing I notice in the scenario or script is the environment that my character is in," he began. "For example, in ‘Crash Landing on You' my role was a North Korean person, so I had to speak in the North Korean dialect and also know how to play piano. From there, I find the primary things I need to do to prepare for the role."
W Korea also asked Hyun Bin about how he feels about his decisions in life so far. The Secret Garden star revealed:
"Rather than something I long for, there's something that I find to be a pity. I feel like I'm slowly fading away. This career path is one that requires some sort of intersection. One that's made where I satisfy what people want. Although it's difficult to live up to 100 percent of the expectations, it's a job where I have to fulfill what I can. But at some point, I wondered if this person who tried to fulfill everyone's expectations was really me. I asked myself if I was just fooling myself, and who I really was. It was sort of scary."

Hyun Bin also talked about his desire to maintain a work-life balance despite his hectic schedule. The beau of Son Ye Jin told the magazine:
"The key is to figure out how to find a balance so that my job doesn't consume me. On the other hand, when I know exactly who I am and take the time to satisfy that personal part of me, I think that will also be beneficial for my acting."
