Station 19‘s loss is Jack Ryan‘s gain. Okieriete Onaodowan, who recently wrapped his five-season run as Dean Miller on the ABC firefighter drama, is joining Prime Video‘s Tom Clancy thriller in its fourth season as a new series regular, our sister site Deadline reports.
All we know about Onaodowan’s character is that his name is Adebayo “Ade” Osoji. The actor is one of three new series regulars, along with Zuleikha Robinson (The Exorcist) as Zeyara and Louis Ozawa (Hunters) as Chao Fah. Derek Cecil (House of Cards) and Nancy Lenehan (People of Earth) will also recur in Season 4.
Of course, it’ll be quite some time before we meet any of these new characters. They’re going to be part of the show’s fourth season, while its third has yet to premiere; production on Season 3 wrapped recently, according to the report.
Onaodowan’s final episode of Station 19 aired earlier this month. (You can click here for a full recap.) In a post-episode message to the show’s fans, he wrote, “I hope he has inspired you to change your world for the better. Be the change!” According to Deadline, Onaodowan had asked to leave the show.
Station 19 fans, will you follow Onaodowan to Prime Video? Jack Ryan fans, what’s your take on these new additions? Whatever you’re a fan of, drop a comment with your thoughts below.
Yes I’ve been waiting for Jack Ryan to return why Wendell’s character has a heart condition?
Interesting. I thought I read he left 19 to return to Broadway.
He’s an awesome actor. I cried when he died on Station 19: bawled like a baby. Jack Ryan, or any other enterprise are lucky to have him.
IMO Jack Ryan will be a step up for Onaodowan and he will probably be able to do other things before production begins. Good for him and us.
Of course! Seems to be a great next journey!
Not a fan ever since Oak got “ Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812” cancelled. He blamed racism for his firing when it was because he couldn’t learn to play accordion after three months, not because he was black. Especially since he was hired to replace Josh Groban, who is obviously not black.
I read that they wanted another actor. They weren’t making the money with him like they were with Groban.
He was an awesome actor.. I cry like a big baby when he die. I so wanted him and Vic to get together and raise the baby together. Station 19 will never be the same. and no one will take his place.
I agree I was crying so bad I couldn’t catch my breath. Your right it won’t be the same without him
I can’t stand this waiting for S3!
Yes I loved Dean Miller on station 19. Never watched Jack Ryan but as soon as Deans character appears on Jack Ryan I will watch it
Steve Burton will be missed. He is the only Jason Morgan as far as I’m concerned. Kudos to him for sticking by his beliefs though. Hopefully they will bring him back soon
So sad just watched station 19. Keep hoping it’s not true. That Dean isn’t really gone.
Why are we cutting shows short ? Goliath was a brilliant show up until this last season with only the last episode being the only worthy episode of being rewatched. Now Hanna ! Why?
Yes I cried too it was so sad , I thought that he and his crush was getting together but it didn’t happen , I think they didn’t give him more screen time, but yes I will watch him on prime .
Absolutely I will follow him to Jack Ryan. I already love Jack Ryan, but I so respect Dean Miller on Station 19 that I actually cried so hard and was in mourning the next morning when I awoke to watch the next episode thinking I assumed he died. I just love what he stood for and how he loved his child. Of course I will follow Okieriete Onaodowan as he is a great Actor. I am sure he will be just as great on Jack Ryan!
