Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale's Chas Dingle has revealed that she knows more about Al Chapman's secret plan for The Woolpack than she has been letting on.

In tonight's (November 23) double bill, Al's plan to sabotage the local pub continued, with Marlon becoming increasingly angry about Al's input.

Marlon admitted to Chas that he'd told Cain about Al flirting with her, and while he "genuinely" didn't know what Cain had done, he was pretty sure he'd done something.

It turned out that Cain had kidnapped Al, trapping him in a barn outside the village with his head in a burlap sack.

While Al was begging to be released so they could sort things out, Cain insisted: "We can sort this out, but it won't involve talking."

Cain accused Al of "messing with Chas" and said he hadn't learned his lesson. But before anything more sinister could happen, Chas stormed into the barn, saying Marlon had let slip what Cain was up to.

She threatened to call the police on Cain if he didn't leave Al alone. When he finally agreed and left the barn with Chas, she told him that she had been leading Al on purposefully.

"The more he believes it might go further, the more chance I have of finding out what he's up to," Chas told Cain.

She defiantly added: "I'm playing him. I have been all along."

Back at The Woolpack, Chas sat down with Paddy and Marlon to explain that she had heard Al talking to someone pretending to be from the brewery, and knew he was up to no good.

Instead of getting angry at Al, she decided to bide her time and try to win Al's affections so he would confide in her about his plans for the pub.

While she'd gained some info about Al's dodgy dealings, she admitted she still didn't know why Al had bought the pub only to deliberately run it into the ground.

"We'll get to the bottom of it, one way or another," she told them.

By the end of the episode, however, Chas was seen to be stepping up her flirtation around Al. Just how far is Chas willing to go to get answers?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
