What are some ongoing problems that are holding the Carolina Panthers back in their pursuit of playoff football in 2021?

We are about to embark on Week 12 of the 2021 season and the Carolina Panthers find themselves at 5-6, within touching distance of a surprise postseason spot. It’s pretty stacked within the NFC for those looking for a wildcard place, which could go right down to the wire with so many upsets happening on a weekly basis across the league.

Whether the Panthers can come through a tough test at the Miami Dolphins and a brutal run of games after their bye is up for debate. But considering the team’s strength of schedule so far, one could argue their record could be much better than it is currently.

The task awaiting the Panthers is a steep one. Having quarterback Cam Newton under center will help, but it’s going to take a collective effort from everyone to get things going in the right direction.

There are some obvious encouraging signs that will stand Carolina in good stead moving forward. Even if such positive signs are being hindered by some complications that constantly come up during their losses.

With this in mind, here are four ongoing problems that are clearly holding the Panthers back in 2021. Something that simply has to change at the earliest possible opportunity.
