Patriots vs. Colts showdown set for Saturday in primetime, NFL announces
The New England Patriots are getting one more primetime game on their schedule when they take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.
The showdown at Lucas Oil Stadium will be played at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 18. Both teams will be entering that game off a bye week.
The Patriots (7-4) have won five straight games, including a 25-0 victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night, and are now in first place in the AFC East division.
The Colts (6-5) are winners of three in a row and six of their last eight after starting the season 0-3. Indianapolis helped New England climb to the top of the AFC East by beating the Buffalo Bills 41-15 on Sunday.
The Patriots vs. Colts matchup was up against four other Week 15 games when it came to which one would get the Saturday night slot.
The Las Vegas Raiders (5-5) will play at the Cleveland Browns (6-5) on Saturday, Dec. 18 with a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
The following three games are now scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 19 at 1 p.m.: New York Jets (2-8) at Miami Dolphins (4-7), Carolina Panthers (5-6) at Buffalo Bills (6-4), and Washington Football Team (4-6) at Philadelphia Eagles (5-6).
