Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost announced Tuesday he signed onto a federal lawsuit filed in Louisiana challenging the legality of the Centers for Medicaid Services to mandate vaccines for healthcare workers.
The lawsuit seeks to invalidate the federal mandate impacting about 17 million people across the country working full and part-time at hospitals, nursing facilities, hospices, and home health agencies.
Yost has previously filed two lawsuits challenging vaccine mandates against federal contractors and Americans who work with at least 100 employees.
“It’s an unlawful use of executive power,” Yost said. "The president does not have the authority to make health-care decisions for Americans.”
In each suit, Yost has demanded a halt to any vaccine mandate while cases are being litigated.
