What you need to know

  • Halo Infinite has introduced Fracture: Tenrai, a new limited-time multiplayer event set to conclude on Nov. 30, 2021.
  • The event reintroduces the Fiesta game mode, pitting players in chaotic four-versus-four matches, equipped with random weapons and equipment.
  • Fracture: Tenrai also features a free 30-tier event pass featuring various Samurai-inspired gear and other cosmetic rewards.
  • The event is set to return five more times throughout the course of Season 1, expected to conclude in May 2022.

Halo Infinite has received its first limited-time event following its multiplayer beta launch earlier this month. The new Fracture: Tenrai event draws inspiration from feudal Japan, including a series of Samurai-inspired armor sets, obtainable via its accompanying Event Pass. Its arrival couples with a new limited-time playlist featuring the returning Fiesta mode, assigning players with random weapons upon respawning, providing a chaotic spin on its traditional Arena battles.

The Fracture: Tenrai event is now live through Nov. 30, granting one week to play the Fiesta mode while progressing its temporary Event Pass. While the event will disappear after seven days, it's slated to return five times before concluding later in Season 1. The subsequent Fracture: Tenrai event is scheduled for Jan. 4, while a later installment follows on Feb. 1, 2021.

The Fiesta playlist is a returning favorite from earlier Halo titles, dropping players into four-versus-four Slayer matches with a randomized twist. Players receive random weapons and equipment upon each respawn, providing an opportunity to master various weapons, coupled with a dose of luck. The mode is available through a dedicated playlist added to Halo Infinite's matchmaking menu.

Fracture: Tenrai also has various rewards via its event pass, a new 100% free event pass. Unlike the existing Battle Pass, progression requires players to complete specific Tenrai Challenges, comprised of various tasks related to the Fiesta playlist. These Challenges, distinguished by red banner icons, are available alongside other Challenges in a dedicated menu. The Fracture: Tenrai event has 30 tiers to progress, although 343 Industries has implemented a weekly progression limit, meaning you'll need to return for future installments of the event.

The show's star is the new Samurai-inspired Yoroi armor core, with skins and augmentations offered through the Event Pass tiers. 343 Industries has also added various Yoroi-themed customization content to the Halo Infinite Shop for a limited time.

Halo Infinite is now available via a free-to-play multiplayer beta on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles, plus Windows PCs via the Microsoft Store and Steam.
