Sandra Bullock's son doesn't watch her movies: 'I am not his cup of tea'

Sandra Bullock is a generational movie star.

Her 11-year-old son, Louis, is not impressed.

The Oscar winner visited "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday and shared that 2000 action comedy Miss Congeniality is the movie fans most often mention to her.

"I think because we made it for young girls, and so then those young girls started doing those sing-songy things that annoyed the parents, so the parents had a grudge," Bullock, 57, explained. "The girls then grew up, and they remembered that. And then I had a daughter, and now I understand why the parents got angry."

Her nine-year-old daughter, Laila, has seen Miss Congeniality, but Louis isn't interested in watching any of his mom's films.

"I am not his cup of tea," Bullock said. "He's 11, and he has really good taste. He likes Japanese anime. He's obsessed with Spider-Man."

But unfortunately for Louis, any casting rumors that Bullock is set to star as Madame Web are false. She insisted to Kimmel that she has never been approached by Marvel for Spider-Man or any other superhero film franchise (two-minute mark).

Bullock adopted Louis in early 2010, and then she adopted Laila in late 2015. Both children came from New Orleans, with Laila coming to Bullock as a three-and-a-half-year-old who had been in the foster care system.

While with Kimmel, Bullock also promoted her forthcoming Netflix drama "The Unforgivable" — her first role since 2018's sci-fi horror sensation "Bird Box" — which is due in select theaters Wednesday before hitting the streaming service Dec. 10. Watch the trailer below.
