Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is known for having a passionate and expressive personality. Sometimes it rubs NBA teammates or opponents the wrong way but it can also work in the favor of the Warriors. Head coach Steve Kerr explained why it's actually a good thing that Green ‘rips into guys.'

So basically, the Warriors have a good cop-bad cop routine for handling mistakes on defense. Can anyone take a wild guess as to who is the bad cop? It's just funny to imagine Draymond Green yelling, Andre Iguodala making a subtle remark and Stephen Curry putting his arm around the player getting yelled at while Steve Kerr laughs maniacally. It's like one big, happy family.

In all seriousness, Green is perfect for that role- the captain of the defense. He knows a thing or two about that side of the ball, having averaged over a steal and a block per game in his career while taking home the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year award back in 2017.

Green is also one of the most versatile defenders in the league, given his ability to defend all five positions and effectively switch onto smaller ball-handlers of pick and rolls.

It's that unique ability that could make him the favorite for that award once again in the 2021-22 campaign, especially considering the fact that the 15-2 Warriors rank first in the NBA in defensive rating.

As long as Draymond Green is around to rip into guys, the Warriors defense should be just fine.
