The National Weather service predicts rain and wind arriving in the Evansville area Wednesday night around midnight. The weather agency's 7-day forecast suggests winds could reach20 mph.

There's an 80% chance of rain on Thanksgiving, though it's mainly expected to happen before noon, with the temperature expected to reach 49 degrees. Rainfall is expected to be less than an inch in Evansville with the heaviest amount of rain in the Pennyrile region of Western Kentucky, according to NWS Paducah's area forecast discussion. The skies over Evansville should clear up as Thanksgiving day progresses into Thanksgiving night, though temperatures will drop into the mid-20s.

While Thanksgiving might be wet and cold, Black Friday will be sunnier with highs in the 40s and no rain in the forecast.
