The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 7 revolves around difficult choices.

On the way back from a wedding venue, Shaun and Lea stop at the scene of an accident, where a pregnant woman is trapped in her car. Shaun is able to save her life using a homemade instrument. At the hospital, he tells her that she may be permanently paralyzed, but if she has a C-section there's a chance that she won't be. The woman can't decide, which annoys Shaun, but later wants to do what's best for her baby. However, she has a placenta abruption, forcing the issue.

Meanwhile, Glassman's ex-wife shows up asking for a favor. He husband has Lewy Body Dementia and she's thinking of enrolling him in a clinical trial but wants Glassman's opinion first. Glassman is reluctant to get involved but agrees, and discovers the man has a brain tumor, not Lewy Body Dementia. However, surgery would be risky and he discourages it, but his ex wants him to go for it.

Finally, Park and Andrews both feel uncomfortable when Salen sets up a double date with her, Andrews, Park, and Morgan, and a tragedy in the OR makes Lim realize that Salen has been cutting corners in unacceptable ways.
