2 sought after man knocked unconscious during dispute on UES 6 train

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was hospitalized after he was knocked unconscious during a dispute on an Upper East Side subway early Tuesday, according to authorities.

Just before 2 a.m., the victim got into an argument with two men on the southbound 6 train at the 96th Street subway station when they began to attack him, police said.

The victim struck his head on the door of the train car, knocking him unconscious.

He was transported to New York Presbyterian Cornell hospital in stable condition.

The two suspects fled the scene and no arrests have been made.

It is unclear what led up to the dispute.

An investigation is ongoing.
