Badie named finalist for Doak Walker award

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou running back Tyler Badie is one of three finalists for the Doak Walker award.

The senior standout rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown in the Tigers overtime win over Florida on Saturday. This season, he already has four games with more than 200 yards on the ground.

Badie leads the SEC in rushing yards, 1,385, and touchdowns, 17, this season. He is 194 yards away from breaking MU's single-season rushing record (Currently held by Devin West).

Iowa State's Breece Hall and Michigan State's Kenneth Walker III are the other two finalists. The winner of the award will be announced during the College Football Awards on Thursday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.
