WWE fan who ambushed Seth Rollins at Barclays Center charged: cops

The WWE fan who ambushed Seth Rollins after a match at the Barclays Center on Monday night has been charged in connection to the attack, cops said.

Elisah Spencer, 24, of Red Hook, allegedly jumped the guardrail and tackled the WWE star as he walked back from his match during “Monday Night Raw.”

Twitter videos show him getting a full sprinting start before making contact with Rollins.

With the fan on top of him, Rollins can be seen attempting to push him off and wriggle himself free. WWE officials, referees and crew members attempted to pull the fan off Rollins — until one ref delivered a running elbow to the fan’s back, freeing the superstar.

Spencer was charged with attempted assault and disrupting a live sporting event, cops said. He was released on a desk appearance ticket, according to authorities.

Following the incident, the WWE said in a statement that it “takes the safety of its performers very seriously.”

“The individual who attacked Seth Rollins has been turned over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” the WWE said.
