Red Bull Racing recently dropped a truth bomb on how their star, Max Verstappen, in his bid to win an F1 championship against Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.

Team advisor Helmut Marko shed some light on Verstappen's slim lead with just two races to go, providing a truthful but crucial judgment on how the dutchman can win his first title.

Via Planet F1:

“We are ahead, but I certainly don’t feel comfortable yet,” the Red Bull motorsport advisor said in an interview with De Telegraaf.

“We have to win one of the last two races, it’s that simple.”

“Everything has to be perfect during a weekend. It’s only between Max and Lewis, the others are nowhere,” the F1 boss stressed.

Indeed, Verstappen and Hamilton dwarf other talented drivers in the standings, as the pair have involved themselves in multiple crashes and individual battles this season, proving that they are the sport's elite rivalry. With Hamilton winning the last two races, others attribute his recent victory to the fresh engine replacement late in the season. However, Marko believes that the power unit won't be the same in Saudi Arabia.

“Hamilton’s engine will no longer have as much power as last week in Brazil,” said the Austrian.

“We are not giving up.”

Can Max Verstappen hold on to his 8-point lead and win his first F1 title? Or, will Lewis Hamilton bag his eighth and strengthen his claim as the G.O.A.T.?
