Twitter Rolls Out Aliases for Its Birdwatch Pilot

Research found that not everyone was comfortable contributing with their @handle

“A little birdie told me.” If you are that little birdie and you did the telling via Twitter’s Birdwatch pilot of a community-driven approach to combating misinformation on the social network, you can now keep your name out of it—your Twitter handle, that is.

Twitter said in a tweet that users who are part of Birdwatch can now use aliases, which they can obtain here, where they will be given five randomized alias options to choose from.
