NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Tuesday released footage of the moment a man in a wheelchair was beaten, dragged, and robbed by a group of people on a Bronx sidewalk earlier this month.

The attack happened at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, November 8, in front of 267 East Tremont Avenue in the Mt. Hope neighborhood, authorities said.

According to officials, a 39-year-old man became involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified woman.

The dispute escalated and the unidentified woman and three men began punching the victim, the video shows.

The victim was then dragged from his wheelchair and then had his backpack which contained an iPhone 13 and $800 taken, police said.

The victim suffered pain to his head and body, however, he refused medical attention.
