The Colorado Avalanche were involved in an offensive showdown with the Ottawa Senators Monday night, eventually beating the Sens 7-5. Fortunately for the team, star defenceman
Cale Makar was ok following a very close call involving teammate
Erik Johnson.
Johnson was getting himself over the boards for a line change when he appeared to slip and almost fall. His right leg would go back and his skate almost went right into the face of Makar. In fact, his skate blade appeared to graze Makar's nose. Makar managed to avoid major damage by turning his head at the very last second. A very narrow escape indeed.
