Who Won 'Dancing With the Stars 2021'?

The grand finale of Dancing With the Stars saw four couples battle it out on the dancefloor to win the Mirror Ball Trophy, but only one could be crowned the true winner of the competition.

Newsweek has everything you need to know about the final and the winning couple.

Who Won Dancing With the Stars 2021?

Dancing With the Stars crowned its Season 30 winner on Monday night and the winning couple may come as a surprise to some.

After an intense finale, which saw the Top 4 couples: YouTuber JoJo Siwa and Jenna Johnson, NBA basketball star Iman Shumpert and Daniella Karagach, The Talk co-host Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten, and celebrity fitness guru Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke, take to the dancefloor.

After all of the couples performed twice, America voted for the one couple they wanted to see lift the Mirror Ball Trophy.

In the end, basketballer Iman Shumpert and his professional partner Daniella Karagach have been crowned the winner of Dancing With the Stars.

Not only did Iman win the coveted prize, but he also made history as the first-ever basketball player to make it to the final in the show's 16-year history.

The victory also marks Daniella's first-ever win after joining the series as a professional dancer just last season.

Iman and Daniella's first dance of the final was a foxtrot and cha-cha mash-up to Earth Wind & Fire's "September."

After their performance, judge Bruno Tonioli declared Iman the "King of the Ballroom" and the couple received the perfect score of 40/40.

For their second routine, Iman and Daniella performed a freestyle routine to "Lose Control" by Missy Elliott.

Judge Julianne Hough commented after the performance: "That was my favorite freestyle I have ever seen in 30 seasons."

Iman and Daniella then received their second perfect score of the evening.

YouTuber JoJo Siwa and her partner Jenna Johnson came in second place, followed by Cody Rigsby and Cheryl Burke in third, and Amanda Kloots and Alan Bersten in fourth.

Although rightfully deserved, Iman's win may come as a big surprise as Youtuber JoJo Siwa and her partner Jenna Johnson were the odds-on favorite to win the entire competition.

JoJo and Jenna were also the highest scoring couple of the season, receiving full scores of 40/40 on three occasions before the semi-final.

However, despite being top of the leaderboard most weeks, it was not necessarily enough to take home the crown.

As the competition progressed, it became clear Iman and Daniella were the ones to watch, receiving consistently high scores, even if they were not as high as their Top 4 rivals, Amanda Kloots, JoJo Siwa, and Cody Rigsby.

However, in the finale, Iman and Daniella shot to the top of the leaderboard with scores of 80/80, sharing first place with JoJo and Jenna.

Here's what the Dancing With the Stars leaderboard looked like by the end of the final:

  • JoJo Siwa and Jenna: 80
  • Iman Shumpert and Daniella: 80
  • Amanda Kloots and Alan: 78
  • Cody Rigsby and Cheryl: 76
