Gail Bush Davis (Doodle), 80, of Andrews, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021.
Gail was the last charter member of Second Baptist Church of Andrews. She loved taking care of people and her grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late Horace and Bertha Bush of Andrews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack B. Davis of Marble; her son, Jackie Davis; and a brother, Sonny Bush and his wife, Callie Bush.
Surviving are her son, Chuck Davis and wife Cindy of Marble; her brother, Skip Bush and wife Sue of Mills River; her grandchildren, Christie Dartez and husband Stephen, Brad Davis and wife Emilee, Cassie West and husband Jasen, and Carleigh Johnson and husband Daniel; 12 great-grandchildren, Kinsleigh, Addison, Drew and Bristol Dartez, Riley, Elijah, Baylee and Caleb Davis, Sydney and Lauren West, and Hunter and Brynleigh Johnson; her niece, Heather Clapper; and nephews, Chris and Shane Bush.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Andrews Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Chuck Davis officiating. Music was provided by the youth of Andrews Second Baptist Church. The interment was in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jasen West, Stephen and Drew Dartez, Daniel Johnson, Elijah Davis, Skip Bush, Terry Truett and Donnie Ray Bradley. Honorary pallbearers were the men of Andrews Second Baptist Church.
The family received friends from noon-1:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Andrews Second Baptist Church prior to the
services.
Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, was in charge of all arrangements.
