    A well deserved award. Meena has been awesome. Hughley entertaining, camp, crazy and full of musical hits lol Her emotionless/remorseless-ness as she taunted a dying Leanna was genuinely disturbing.

    I'm enjoying her and the storyline.

    But they also had The Dingles as Best Family and "Ballums wedding" as Best Feel Good Moment... so I shouldn't place too much stock on these awards 😉

    Unfortunately the "Meena as psychotic Serial Killer" storyline has dragged on for a little bit too long now and she needs to be caught... I am surprised (considering the Seb murder won best storyline, and it's actors won best partnership, best actor and best actress), that evil Corey didn't have best villain in the bag though

    Coronation Street might not have been perfect but it's absolutely flying at these award shows, 7 awards is pretty good.

    Very pleased to see Sally Carman and David Nielson recognised, the latter has gone under the radar for too long.

    Meena is a joke, especially in comparison to Corrie's Corey but I guess they couldn't have let Corrie win everything :grimace:

    This Meena lady is gorgeous and fit, so I don't mind the farm soap won an award.

    Rather Meena win over someone like the overrated Suki Panesar any day.
    I rarely watch Emmerdale but I’ve been tuning in a lot ever since I heard the hype about her character, I don’t understand the hate she gets on here.

    On the scale of villainy she is definitely up there near the top with two+ murders, a near caninicide and several other near human killing moments too, plus various other crimes of varying severity

    She's no Silas Blissett. In fairness she makes me laugh out loud but somehow I dont think that's what they were going for.. nonetheless congrats to Paige. In fairness she can only work with the crap she's given.

    As for my actual thoughts on her winning...

    I don't think she's the "best" villain but not going to lie, she's kinda grown on me (never thought she would) and now find her quite hilarious in a campy "so bad it's good" charming way.

    Besides these votes/awards are subjective and people are entitled to vote as they please and if a lot of folks just happen to like her (even if you disagree with the result) then fair enough.

    Stacey Slater wins these type of things all the time, can't stand the character yet she's incredibly popular whether I like it or not. I could either be grumpy about it or just think "meh, it is what it is, let it go" thus I choose the latter stance. :)

    So all in all just let her have this one, hardly the worse thing to ever happen. :mrgreen:
