Saweetie was feeling herself after her set at Powerhouse 2021, but she was quick to note that she and her team haven't had any shortcuts.
"It wasn't all some regular, overnight shit. I've been working really hard," she tells Power 105.1's Nyla Symone.
Icy Bae is red hot after appearing as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live earlier this weekend. She says she's still looking for more because she remembers how hard it was to get here.
"I remember what it felt like to be broke," she continued. "I know what it feels like to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all week. I know what it feels like to just wonder where the next dollar is. So shout out to all my girls out there not compromising their values and morals, it'll get better."
Saweetie says there will be a new album, but what she really wants is a baby.
"I want a baby," she said. "...I don't have a man. I'm just ready. I don't know, I'm getting older. I don't hide my age. ...I know I'm young — I'm very young. But let's be real. I want to pop that shit out, and I wanna snap back."
