Tanuki Project – “Slow”

/

“Slow” is an atmospheric, cavernous track from Tanuki Project, a Montreal-based duo producing a sound with trip-hop, downtempo, and electronic elements. Throughout their Adamant_CHAPTER#01 EP, Tanuki Project show a tendency for steady atmospheric unveiling. On “Slow” in particular, a synth-bass pushes forward, eventually giving way to various aspects like somber orchestral creeping (01:36) and trip-hop rhythmic pulsations (approaching three-minute mark). Serenely intoxicating vocals consume throughout, remaining a constant amidst the various inclinations of synths, percussive pulses, and other textural additives.
