CHARLESTON, S.C. -- The College of Charleston women's basketball team (3-0, 0-0) returns home to the friendly confines of TD Arena to host the Tarleton State Texans (3-1, 0-0) at 7:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on FloHoops.

Notes and Nuggets
  • Last time out, the Cougars outlasted Norfolk State in a comeback win that made the Cougars 3-0 for the first time since the 2001-02 season
  • Grace Abercrombie repeated as CAA Rookie of the Week, winning the award twice in just her first two weeks at the collegiate level
  • The freshman from Jacksonville, Texas scored 25 points in the win at Norfolk State, connecting on 5-of-11 tries from downtown
  • Perhaps overshadowed by Abercrombie's performance was Peyton Martin's 19 points and 10 rebounds in the win over the Spartans
  • The frontcourt duo of Martin and Arynn Eady provides the Cougars with a wealth of experience to go with defensive prowess and offensive ability
  • In the Norfolk State game, the Cougars converted 27 Spartan turnovers into 26 points
  • Charleston is forcing its opponents into 15.0 turnovers per game
  • The Cougars have five players that average over 12.0 points per game
  • CofC's top three scorers (Abercrombie, Annecchiarico, Martin) are all newcomers to the roster
  • CofC is towards the top of the CAA ranks in several major categories
  • The Cougars lead the conference in points per game (86.3), scoring margin (32.3), opponent field goal percentage (31.8 percent), and turnover margin (24.3)
  • CofC ranks second in field goal percentage (45.4 percent), as well as three-point percentage (37.2 percent) and free throw percentage (79.2 percent)
Getting to Know Tarleton State
  • The Texans are in their second season as a division-one program
  • Tarleton State went 9-16 last season and currently own a 3-1 record with all three wins coming over non-D1 opponents
  • Last season, Jenna Annecchiarico played against the Texans while a member of Eastern Michigan. She scored nine points and dished out 7seven assists in 38 minutes
Matchup History
