Tigers Take on Texas Schools

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Tigers head south for their first extended road trip of the season, starting with a matchup against Texas A&M Corpus Christi before heading to Houston to play Rice. The Tigers are looking to bounce back after dropping the first road contest of the season at San Jose State last Saturday.

The top two scorers this season are both freshman as Elizabeth Elliott and Anaya James are leading the Tigers in scoring this season. Elliott is averaging 14.0 points on just under 20 minutes per game as is leading the team in free throws as well, with 21 in three games. Anaya James, fresh off being named the WCC Freshman of the Week, is averaging 12.8 points per game and leads the Tigers in assists with 27. 
 
RETURNING TIGERS: 
Madelene Ennis is leading the Tigers in rebounding, with 5.3 rebounds per game, one full rebound better than the number two rebounder on the team. Ennis is also the first Tiger this season to play more then 35 minutes in a game, playing 37 minutes in the loss against San Jose State.  Jordan Cruz leads the team in three-point shots made and is second in three-point percentage. Erica Adams is first on the team in three-point shooting percentage and leads the team in minutes played. 

CONFERENCE STATS: 

Anaya James is tied for the conference lead in assists per game with 6.8. Elizabeth Elliott Is second in the WCC in shooting percentage at 68.2% and Jordan Cruz is tied for third in three point field goals made with nine.
