Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has teased Fergus Collins and Warren Fox could both be dead following its latest cliffhanger.
The enemies' lives were left hanging in the balance in Monday's (November 22) first-look episode, when the Operation Bluebird plot reached a shocking new chapter.
Maxine Minniver was finally onto Fergus having tried to traffick her, and had managed to get her mum Trish and Warren's son Joel on board to bring him down.
However, Fergus was moving forward with a deadly plan of his own to silence Warren by ordering one of his dodgy contacts in the prison to have Warren killed.
Joel made a secret visit to Warren in prison to encourage him to call Maxine on his burner phone. The two ex-lovers made their peace, with Warren trying to warn Max off the dangerous plot to expose Fergus.
Trish had agreed to try to get a taped confession from Fergus, but the plan fell apart when Trish cracked under the pressure and revealed too much to cunning Fergus.
"Take off that wire you're wearing," Fergus demanded.
Fergus then turned on Trish, threatening he was going to have to kill her because she now knew too much about Bluebird. Just as he was about to hurt her, Maxine stormed in to crack Fergus over the head with a bottle.
While Fergus collapsed to the floor, Warren was surrounded by three prisoners in the yard. He managed to fight them all, before Fergus's stooge prison guard called them off.
The guard then brought in a much bigger prisoner, with the episode then flashing forward to show Warren unconscious on the ground as the episode's cliffhanger.
Will Fergus and/or Warren survive?
