DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys were already a bit beat up heading into their Sunday afternoon loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Throughout that game, however, the Cowboys suffered even more set backs on the injury front, including star wideout, CeeDee Lamb.

On Monday, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy updated the media on the status of a few of those injuries, beginning with defensive end Tank Lawrence, who has not played since Week 2, and is expected to open his 21-day practice window imminently.

McCarthy said Lawrence was unlikely to suit up for the Thanksgiving Day matchup, however.

Also mentioned by McCarthy was Lamb, who seems to be making good progress, and is looking hopeful to play on Thursday after going into concussion protocol during Sunday's game.

Last but not least, McCarthy also noted that running back Ezekiel Elliott was not in danger of missing anytime, and that he was hopeful that left tackle Tyron Smith would be able to return to action on Thursday.
