Saints Amongst Sinners is a 7-piece Singaporean psych-rock/indie-rock outfit who recently released their debut album Y/OURS that features lyrics both in Bahasa Melayu and English.
“Ikhlas” is both a standout single from the album, one that showcases their deep depth and sonic exploration. They are clearly not a band you can quite pigeonhole into one genre or sound as the 5-minute expansive journey that is “Ikhlas” surely proves.
They pack a punch with some gorgeous instrumentation with a colorful spirit, one that has some 90s indie rock guitar work with a more free-flowing folk spirit to the vocals. Think Los Campesinos, Freelance Whales, with a bit of a dreamy spirit tiring it all together.
