CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – If you’ve never been able to take a tour inside Dunbar Cave, you have missed out on one of the treasures of Clarksville. But some aren’t able to take these tours because of mobility issues or other roadblocks.
The Dunbar Cave 360 Virtual Reality Film Project will be sharing the secrets of the cave, offering an adventure for some who are not able to participate in a traditional cave tour, or maybe just haven’t taken the opportunity.

Friends of Dunbar Cave received a grant from Humanities Tennessee in May 2021 for the project. FODC selected local filmmaker One Day Entertainment for the virtual reality cave tour.
“This will be made available in the Dunbar Cave Park office and hopefully online so that those who can’t go into the cave for various reasons can see the film and feel like they are in the cave and have that experience,” said Shana Thornton, president of Friends of Dunbar Cave.
Thornton hopes to offer a public premiere in the spring of 2022.
John Ball, one of the rangers at Dunbar Cave, had the idea for the film. He said they have been working on the idea for a little over a year.
