Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street's Max Turner has found himself an unlikely ally in Daniel Osbourne, having riled everyone else up over his mean-spirited Sam Blakeman video.
The youngster had previously clashed with the teacher after he misbehaved at school, stole his wallet and then lied about it. More recently, he's found himself in everyone's bad books after posting a clip of himself forcing cousin Sam (Jude Riordan) to tearfully talk about his mum's tragic murder on camera.
In the first of tonight's double bill (November 22), Max's adoptive father David (Jack P Shepherd) was left fuming when Daniel (Rob Mallard) let slip that Max (Harry McDermott) had skipped lessons again.

Fuming, David confronted Max and ordered him to apologise to all those he's upset. When Max refused, David grabbed his laptop and in his rage, accidentally dropped it.
In the second episode, Daniel paid a visit to No. 8, where he tried to reason with David, saying: "It was in poor taste, but it's clear he's got a talent for filmmaking. Technically, it was very accomplished and I think it's something he should work at.
"Might be worth talking to him about it at least. He's not a bad kid, he's just confused and troubled."
Later, Daniel spotted Max sitting alone in the square, and joined him on the bench.

"With the right subject matter, you could make something brilliant," said Daniel, to which Max replied: "Well, even if I did, I know no one would watch it because they all hate my guts. Even Summer, she's not going to mentor me anymore. I just wish there was something I could do about it..."
"There might be," Daniel reassured him.
Next, the twosome rocked up to Summer Spellman's house, where Max tried to make amends.
"The next time he picks up a camera, hopefully, it'll be for something more positive or uplifting," Daniel explained, as Summer chimed in: "Well, Billy's been at the soup kitchen all day. You could make a film about that? The work people do there, make it like a promotional thing?"
"That's a really good idea," Max said with a smile. "But my laptop's bust, how would I edit it?"
"I can have a word with the school. I'm sure I can get them to let you use the media suite when it's free," Daniel interjected.
Afterwards, David gave Max a pep talk about how important it is to find things your passionate about and spend your time doing them. Could this prove to be a turning point for the teenager?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30pm on ITV.
