The Philadelphia Sixers have announced that Joel Embiid was able to get a workout in at the team's practice facility on Monday. Embiid has been in the COVID-protocols. Joel Embiid has not played for the Sixers since November 8th. Over that time, Philadelphia is 1-6.

This is huge news for the Sixers as they have struggled without Embiid on the court. It would be nice if Ben Simmons ever decides to finally play because he could have been somebody who could have taken over while Embiid was out.

Luckily this happened during the beginning of the year and they should be able to come back playing good basketball. Before he went out, Philadelphia was one of the hotter teams in the league and had one of the top spots in the Eastern Conference. When he comes back, Philadelphia will go back to their old form and continue being one of the better teams in the NBA.

Philadelphia desperately needs to figure out what they are going to do with Ben Simmons. The Sixers still haven't made a trade for the point guard and his value keeps getting lower and lower. Embiid has to be frustrated about that situation as well, so hopefully, it will get resolved soon.

Embiid will not play on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings and it might take him a couple more days before he's game-ready. There is a possibility that he plays on Saturday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves
