Letter: Profiles in courage

I long for the day when a group of legislators will say, “We don’t serve to be reelected. We’re here to do what’s best for Alaska.” Then take a stand to wind down the Permanent Fund dividend.  

It was a great idea years ago, but now is no longer affordable.

Grow the Permanent Fund to a level that will produce enough to finance state operations. Simple, but not easy.
