Auburn has had the most success against Nick Saban since he took over as the Alabama football coach, winning five out of 14 games.

There is no greater college football rivalry than the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn and Nick Saban can attest to that as he heads into his 15th game in the series.

Auburn has played Saban’s teams tougher than any other SEC team with wins in five of the 14 games to this point.

Saban lost the first Iron Bowl but has won nine of the last 13, including a 42-13 win last year.

Nick Saban has a 9-5 record vs. Auburn as the Alabama football coach

There have been several years in a row where the winner of the Iron Bowl went on to play for the national championship. In recent years, Auburn hasn’t held up their end of the bargain, but Alabama did win it all last year.

The Iron Bowl has been a back-and-forth rivalry with neither team winning two in a row since Alabama won three in a row from 2014-2016.

Gus Malzahn was successful against Saban, picking up three of the five wins in this rivalry during Saban’s tenure, but he was fired after last year and is now the UCF head coach. This will be Bryan Harsin’s first foray into the Iron Bowl. Making things more difficult for Harsin is that he’ll be facing Alabama without starting quarterback Bo Nix who is out after undergoing ankle surgery.

The Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn will be televised on CBS with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 ET. Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson and Jamie Erdahl will serve as the broadcasters and sideline reporter, respectively, for the game.
