IO Interactive has announced that Hitman 3 will be getting a Year Two of additional content coming to the assassination game next year.

The Danish studio gave an update to fans via a video and blog post, revealing that it will kick off this Year Two on 20 January with a roadmap of new content. However, before that the studio has teased some of the additions fans can expect. These include new maps, new storylines and new game modes.

First up are two additions mainly aimed at PC players. Namely, the addition of both Ray Tracing and VR support for PC players.  Previously, these features have only been on next gen consoles and PlayStation only, respectively. However, all formats will also be able to enjoy a new Elusive Target Arcade mode as a permanent new game mode.

Details of the new mode are currently being kept under wraps, however. IO say they’ll reveal more in January. That’s when they’ll also reveal more details about the planned new modes, maps and more. The team also tease a “major update” for Spring 2022, and we’ll hear more about that early next year too.

While the announcement was full of teases, we did get a glimpse at one of these new maps. The video and blog post shows a couple of images from what seems to be a secluded hideout in the woods. Given the glimpse of a pretty well-stocked gun range, we’d hazard this might be Agent 47’s hideout? We’ll have to wait and see.

One thing we do know is that the game will get post launch support for at least another 12 months, taking it all the way up to 2023. For now, check out the video for yourself below or read our original Hitman 3 review here.
