This is the tenth entry into the 2021 Josh Allen Game Grades series. Each week, Josh Allen’s numbers, decision making, and overall performance will be reviewed and given a letter grade.

In Week 11, the Buffalo Bills got destroyed by the Indianapolis Colts in an eye opening 41-15 rout.

Josh Allen and the offense hardly even left the locker room, putting out another dismal performance. Allen’s statline on the day was bad, completing 21 of 35 passes for 208 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

Allen was terribly inefficient in Week 11, averaging 5.9 yards per attempt, way down from the 13.1 he averaged in East Rutherford last week. Allen finished with a passer rating of 72.2, which is his second worst of the season.

Allen found Stefon Diggs twice in the endzone, but they only connected two times for 14 yards outside of their two touchdowns. There seems to be a common theme of the offense struggling when Allen and Diggs are not in rhythm, so the Bills better find a way to get them going on a consistent basis, and fast.

The lone positive from Josh Allen this week was that he and Dawson Knox rekindled the connection they had earlier in the season. Knox caught six passes for 80 yards, and was one of a very small number of bright spots for the Bills this week.

Josh Allen’s decision making was poor against the Colts. He threw two interceptions, and nearly a third in the second quarter. Allen was erratic and out of rhythm all day, partially due to the poor play of the offensive line.

Allen cannot be without blame however, and he has to be more relaxed under duress. He was trying to play hero ball and do too much all afternoon, and that is proven to not work for him. It is however, an indictment on the Buffalo offensive line that they completely fall apart in the absence of a third round rookie right tackle.

Josh Allen’s Week 10 Grade: D+

Josh Allen receives an D+ grade for his performance in Week 11. Allen and the Buffalo offense barely had a pulse in Orchard Park on Sunday, putting up their most embarrassing effort of the season with a four turnover game.

Josh Allen has got to stop trying to do too much when the Bills are behind, because when he does, he makes things worse with irrational decisions. By no means should Bills fans be hopping off of the Allen bandwagon, as he is still having an MVP caliber season, but more consistency would be reassuring.
