A second person has been arrested after shots were fired in Bainbridge in August.
On August 30th around 6:30 pm, Bainbridge Public Safety officers responded to a call regarding shots fired near the intersection of Carter Street and Rozier Street involving persons in a purple Dodge Charger.
Officers followed the vehicle to a location on Water Street and observed the vehicle slow down and the doors swing open. Two black males exited the vehicle and took off running.
Officers were unsuccessful in immediately locating the subjects, later identified as Robert Smith (passenger) and Roy Senior (driver). Evidence from a bag left at the scene and from a search of the vehicle revealed a loaded and chambered Taurus 9mm pistol, an empty Taurus magazine, 9mm ammunition, a baggie containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, scales, baggies, and a quantity of cash.
Following an investigation into the events surrounding the incident, warrants were obtained for convicted felons, Robert Lenoris Smith, of a Hall Street address, and Roy Dontavious Senior, of a Broughton Street address. Smith was arrested on September 15th.
On Wednesday, November 17th, Roy Dontavious Senior was arrested and charged with felony receipt/possession/transfer of a firearm by a convicted felon, felony theft by receiving stolen property and obstruction of an officer.
