Skyrim Goes Borderlands Thanks to a New Visual Mod

Skyrim with a Borderlands-like visuals? Thanks to one modder, such a combination is now available.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • A modder by the handle Kanjs posted unique texture packs for Skyrim;
  • They make Bethesda's game similar to the Borderlands series;
  • All packs can be downloaded for free from Nexus Mods.

Skyrim can boast of quite a large number of mods, which are able to radically change the game. Many of them modify the visuals, usually making it much more realistic. However, even the best projects of this type do not guarantee an experience equal to contemporary AAA titles. Such significant improvement is simply impossible to achieve.

The modder by the handle Kanjs decided not to make the graphics more realistic by force, instead he would give them a distinct and eye-pleasing style. The perfect inspiration turned out to be the Borderlands series, which boasts a characteristic comic book-like style. As you can see, it also fits Bethesda's work. Kanjs posted a video in the web, in which he presented his work. It's hard not to agree with the statement that this is a truly unique combination.

Of course, Kanjs made his mods available online for free. If you would like to play a much more comic book-like version of Skyrim, all texture packs can be found on the author's profile on Nexus Mods. There is also a special enb preset, which modifies the in-game lighting and adds a characteristic black border to all on-screen objects. Unfortunately it doesn't work with Anniversary Edition.
