Manchester City have been doing well in the Premier League this season and the only reason why they are currently second to Chelsea on the points table is because they lack a proper goal-scorer. Nothing is to be taken away from the way Pep Guardiola’s men have been going about their business.

There have been as many as 11 goal-scorers for City this season and it just makes it all the more impressive. City have been without the services of a proper number nine since most of the last season and the ongoing season thus far.

The Cityzens are lacking an out-and-out goal-scorer but Pep Guardiola believes that his squad has enough depth to cope with the glaring issue. The midfield of City has been doing wonders for the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona manager by creating tons of chances everytime they take the field. Perhaps the only disappointing aspect of an otherwise already-impressive City campaign is the hot-and-cold form of Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian has been struggling with injuries in recent times and that has stopped him from finding his best form and fitness. Having said that, FIchajes understands that City are considering a transfer swoop for Chelsea’s Mason Mount.

Let us face it. It is unlikely to happen as Chelsea will not be interested in selling one of their top, home-grown talents to a direct Premier League rival. Moreover, the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are also said to be interested in landing the Englisman.

Mount is not said to be happy with the offer that Chelsea have placed in front of him, whose contract expires in 2024. He is said to be disappointed with the way he is being treated at his boyhood club and could ask to leave the club in the near future though that looks unlikely.

Bayern Munich believe that Mount could be the perfect replacement for Thomas Muller while Real Madrid want to add Mount to their ranks as a cover for their aeging midfield.

It is very unlikely that Mount will look to leave the Stamford Bridge and an agreement could be reached between the two parties soon enough.

Do you think Mason Mount could surprise everyone and join Manchester City next summer?
