The Atlanta Braves have still not signed Freddie Freeman to a new contract.

Per a report from The Athletic, there has been "little progress in negotiations" between the Braves and the first baseman.

92.9 The Game reporter Joe Patrick joined the Midday Show and believes there's reason to worry the Braves haven't signed Freeman to a new contract at this point.

"Every day that goes by I get more worried," Patrick told Andy and Randy. "I don't know how anyone could just be sitting back with their feet up thinking like it's all going to be a-okay."

"Now, I'm not saying that he's not going to come back or anything like that. I would still say the chances are very, very high that he does come back. But until that tweet goes out, until we see that picture of him signing a contract...until that happens, I will not be comfortable with where this situation is."

Per a report from Jon Heyman of MLB Network, the New York Yankees met with Freeman's reps last week.

"It's just incredible that we're at this stage. We all thought this deal was going to be done literally a year ago today...people are freaking out when they see him on Twitter or Instagram in a plane--they don't know where he's going. I'm in that stage myself."
