AMD has added support for the Radeon RX 6300M and RX 6500M in its latest Radeon GPU driver. The drive update contains references to the Radeon PRO W6300M and Radeon PRO W6500M too, all based on the entry-level Navi 24 GPU.

While rumours continue to swirl about the RX 6400 and the RX 6500 XT, AMD has added four new mobile GPUs in its latest Radeon driver. As the screenshot below shows, Radeon driver 21.40.1 adds PCI Device IDs 7421-00, 7423-00, 743F-C3 and 743F-CF, all Navi 24-based cards.

The driver lists their names as the Radeon RX 6300M and RX 6500M, along with PRO W versions of both cards. The Radeon PRO W series are professional mobile graphics chips, for reference. If the Radeon PRO W6300M and PRO W6500M are anything like the PRO W6600M, they should have higher clock speeds, faster VRAM and greater theoretical performance than the RX 6300M and RX 6500M.

Based on previous leaks, the Radeon RX 6300M and RX 6500M could have 16 MB of Infinity Cache with 64-bit buses. Navi 24 is expected to offer up to 1,024 stream processors too, but it is unclear if AMD will bring its full Navi 24 configuration to laptops as the RX 6500M.

AMD has not confirmed when it will unveil any of these Navi 24 cards, although VideoCardz considers CES 2022 in January a possible candidate for an announcement. Presumably, the Radeon RX 6300M and RX 6500M will compete against the GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti, which are now available in multiple laptops.
